At For Lake’s Sake, our mission is rooted in the love of Christ and the belief that every individual is created in God’s image with purpose, dignity, and immense value.

We are called to protect, educate, and empower youth and young adults by raising awareness about the dangers of fentanyl poisoning, counterfeit pills (Fentapills), and the growing overdose crisis, while fostering a Christ-centered community of hope, healing, and transformation.

JESUS CHRIST IS OUR LORD & SAVIOR

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who came to redeem and restore humanity
through His life, death, and resurrection (John 3:16). He is the foundation of our hope, and through Him, we find true healing and transformation, even in the face of the opioid and fentanyl epidemic that is devastating our communities.

CALL TO LOVE & PROTECT OTHERS

We believe in Jesus’ command to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:30-31). Love
compels us to act urgently to protect young people from fentanyl-related deaths by spreading
awareness, offering resources, and providing a safe, substance-free community where they can
thrive.

MENTAL WELLNESS & BREAKING STIGMAS

We believe that mental health and addiction are not moral failures but battles that require faith,
support, and understanding. Many individuals turn to substances as a way to cope with trauma
and mental health struggles. We are committed to breaking the stigma, offering peer support,
and promoting Christ-centered healing that addresses the root causes of substance use (Psalm 34:18).

THE POWER OF CHRISTIANITY COMMUNITY & PREVENTION

We believe that transformation happens in community. Through mentorship, prayer,
discipleship, and sober gatherings, we seek to provide a Christ-centered environment where
young people can build lasting relationships and develop strong moral character (Hebrews
10:24-25). By offering an alternative to substance-fueled environments, we help prevent
fentanyl-related deaths and provide young people with a path to a hopeful, purpose-driven
future.

POWER OF GRACE & REDEMPTION

We believe in God’s grace and the power of redemption for all people. Many young lives are
being lost due to fentanyl poisoning, often unknowingly consuming counterfeit pills laced with deadly doses. Through faith, education, and outreach, we strive to prevent these tragedies and
offer hope to those struggling with substance use and grief (2 Corinthians 5:17).

HEALING THROUGH FAITH & FELLOWSHIP

We believe that true healing—emotionally, spiritually, and mentally—comes through faith in
Christ, the support of a loving community, and the renewal of the mind through God’s Word
(Romans 12:2). For those affected by addiction, overdose loss, or trauma, we provide a space
where they can find healing, hope, and purpose in Christ.

LIVING LIFE OF INTEGRITY & ACCOUNTABILITY

We believe in living out our faith with integrity, upholding biblical values in all that we do, and
holding ourselves accountable to the highest standards of stewardship and service (Colossians
3:17). This includes being a voice for those lost to fentanyl poisoning, advocating for policy
changes, and equipping young people with the knowledge to make informed, life-saving
choices.

COMMITMENT TO OUR MISSION

For Lake’s Sake exists to provide hope, healing, and wholeness to young people by creating
safe, faith-driven spaces that promote mental wellness, fentanyl poisoning prevention, and
substance-free living. We are dedicated to educating communities about the dangers of fentanyl and counterfeit pills (Fentapills), preventing overdoses, and offering support to those impacted by addiction and loss.
We believe that God has called us to stand in the gap for this generation, to equip them with
truth, to fight against the fentanyl crisis, and to remind them that their lives have meaning, hope,
and a future in Christ. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

FOR LAKE'S SAKE ACKNOWLEDGES...

The For Lake's Sake program recognizes that education alone may not eradicate the drug epidemic entirely, but it firmly believes that empowering young people with accurate information, skills, and support networks is essential in preventing substance abuse and minimizing the devastating impact of fentanyl-related overdoses. By fostering a culture of open dialogue, resilience and empathy, the program aims to inspire a generation of informed and empowered individuals who can make healthy choices and positively influence their communities.
